SLM 3D printing

3D printing with the SLM (Selective Laser Melting) method, the so-called incremental method, makes it possible to produce metal machine parts, mould surface elements or mould cooling elements, as well as blanking dies. The method offers the same excellent strength, density and precision of manufactured parts as the casting method. In the case of injection moulds, the implementation of mould cooling elements using this method makes it possible to reduce the cycle time during the production of a moulded part. The cooling systems can be located closer to the mould surface, which allows for uniform heat removal from the entire mould surface and a shorter share of cooling time in the overall cycle time of the part.
